Joseph

Joe worked in Denver, CO during the winter.  He was back home to Erin, TN for the spring.  He worked with a contract firm at the Cumberland Steam Plant during the outage.  He has moved back to Chattanooga and is currently looking for employment and a place to attend school.

Last summer and Fall, Joe worked for Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico.
Philmont Scout Ranch is the Boy Scouts of America's oldest national high-adventure base camps. Its 34 staffed camps and 55 trail camps provide an unforgettable adventure in the high country along hundreds of miles of rugged, rocky trails.

He worked at the Double H Scout Ranch for the summer. Double H is located between Magdalena and Datil, NM.

Double H was near the Very Large Array

Double H is a joint project with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation

The Double H High Adventure Base, is a partnership between the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Boy Scouts of America, and is operated by Philmont Scout Ranch. The Double H is located southwest of Albuquerque, surround by the Cibola National Forest. With no established trail system, the Double H is a rugged southwestern experience covering over 100,000 acres and elevations over 7,000 feet.

Joe worked there as a guide in 2002 during their first year.  This is their last year of operation, so they invited him back to be a guide again.

Michelle

Michelle completed her Masters Degree in December 2009.  She is currently completing her PhD.  This summer she will be doing more field work at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan for her PhD through Michigan Technological University.

Michelle has moved back to Tennessee and is making her home here.  She will head north to finish her field work in July.  She also has a teaching requirement to fulfill before she can graduate.  She has a lot of writing ahead of her.
